Reflection: Performance Tasks Mid Unit Check In - Section 2: Assessment


I have included a few pieces of student work for you to look at.  The work of MF is the student from the video in Assessment Section's resources (Student Who Met the Standard).  The other three students are the students who you will also see on the teacher observation notes.

I will use this assessment work to decide the next few lessons.  I will look to see who's till needs work with adding and/or subtracting ten to/from a number and who is ready to move on to adding/subtracting multiples of ten to/from a number.

Unit 12: The Ten Concept: Counting On and Off the Decade and Knowing 10 More/ 10 Less

Objective: SWBAT count groups of tens and ones. SWBAT add 10 and subtract ten from a given number.

Big Idea: This task will offer a challenging activity and will also act as a piece of formative assessment as you look deeper into how well they can add or subtract ten from a number and plan your instruction from here.
