## Reflection: Performance Tasks Equal Unit Fractions? - Section 4: Presentations

These presentations can be video taped to use as an assessment for the students. I would also video tape their discussion or presentation after cutting apart the shape to include in the assessment.

Playing the video back to the presenters provides students greater reflection on their thinking. Their awareness of what they know and need to learn more about is important to their learning. I also need to determine their understanding of equal unit fractions and the video tape can assist me in thinking about student work more deeply.  If video tape is not an option, using a checklist would provide the record of their thinking.
