Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding American Dreams and Money Nightmares: Themes in 'The Great Gatsby' - Section 2: Pre-Reading : Teacher-Led Discussion

While I initially planned on a more "traditional," teacher-led class discussion, today's conversation about the themes took on a life of its own, as students began to develop understanding of the themes in "The Great Gatsby," build on each others' ideas, and react to each others' opinions. Students' conversation today was quite impressive.
