Reflection: Student Led Inquiry "Ouch" - What Is That Pea Thinking? (Lesson 3 of 3) - Section 5: Students Take a Turn

I was very happy to have one of my students discover an idea I had not thought about. He made some inferences about the inside front and back covers of the book. There were only illustrations there, but he used what he saw (evidence) and what he knew (schema) to make some nice connections and inferred what was happening.

When I see these examples, it makes me feel like the kids are 'getting it'. I didn't plan to talk about the inside covers, but I will next time I teach this!
