Reflection: Lesson Planning Discovering Trig Identities (Day 2 of 4) - Section 2: Investigation

Here are some of my thoughts regarding making this activity more accessible to a variety of learners: Discovering Trig Identities, Day 2 Reflection, New Student Worksheet.

This is the modified student worksheet I plan to give next school year: Proofs_of_Identities_Student handout modified. Students will work through the same exact calculator file and will learn the same exact material, I just tried to simplify the language a bit and give students a few hints throughout.

Discovering Trig Identities (Day 2 of 4)

Unit 9: Trigonometric Equations
Lesson 2 of 16

Objective: SWBAT visualize and interpret the trigonometric identities with a focus today on negative angle identities.

Big Idea: Students use TI-Nspire calculators to develop their own understandings of what trigonometric identities are and why they work.
