## Reflection: Rigor Halves - Section 3: Independent Practice

The ice cream cone was the most difficult image for my students to make decisions about how to divide into two equal halves. You can see in the picture in the resource section where this student thought one of the ice cream scoops was half. This allowed me to have several conversations with students about what would half be. I asked them to think about if they were dividing in half, then two people would get equal parts.
