Reflection: Performance Tasks Debate Day 2 - Section 4: Closing

Overall, I am so excited about how my students performed their debates. It helped them think about writing for another purpose and get more practice in the aspects of persuasive writing they were struggling with. For the most part students debated for about 5 minutes each (total). For their first time, I was pleased at that result. I always have to remember that when students do anything for the first time, their stamina will be low at first. Their stamina in academic speaking is something we will continue to build upon.
