## Reflection: Checks for Understanding Solving Story Addition and Subtraction Problems - Section 3: Solving Story Problems Independently

In the section's resources, there is a student work sample entitled Counting Back With Error.  Today, I noticed that several students understand how to use the counting back approach but have error in their organization and it leads to computational mistakes.  In this case, a student didn't label her jumps correctly and her picture doesn't match her equation.

I will spend time at the beginning of next class, going over these mistakes and the importance of being organized with their work.
