Reflection: Intrinsic Motivation Looking at the Setting - Section 4: Collaborative Activity


I had planned for 15 to 20 minutes for this activity, however it took longer because my students were very engaged in discussing which pictures to use and why.  I was surprised that they actually did talk about all of them, because to me, some were obvious that they did not work. However, listening to my students conversations, they were either actually explaining why certain pictures did not work, forming an argument as to why a picture should be included.
