## Reflection: Joy Area vs. Circumference - Section 6: Closure and Ticket to Go

There is a local bakery, Petsi Pies , that celebrates Pi Day on March 14th every year.  They make hundreds of mini-pies in a variety of flavors.  Anyone who can recite the first 10 digits of pi from memory gets their choice of flavor.  My students were really excited about it and some students even memorized more than 10 digits in preparation for 3/14.

Not everyone is thrilled about Pi Day, and Vi Hart has created an amusing Anti-Pi Rant  that students may enjoy.

# Area vs. Circumference

Unit 8: Geometry
Lesson 6 of 19
