Reflection: Connection to Prior Knowledge Olympic Poems - Section 5: Closure

Although writing poetry proved challenging for some of my students, I still think it is important for them to be exposed to poetry and various forms of creative writing.  Just as there needs to be a balance between informational text and literature, there also should be a balance between creative and prose writing for students.  The more they practice, the better they will get.
