Reflection: Student Ownership Black History Photo Story - Section 4: Closure

I believe it is very important for my students to understand the history of our nation in order not to repeat bad things in our past.  Participating in this lesson helped them to understand our history and focus on planning a better future.  My students and I liked this lesson because not only was it a balanced literacy approach, involving reading, writing, listening, and speaking; but it also, made a cross curricular social studies connection, incorporated technology, and music.
