Reflection: Student Grouping Happy Birthday President Lincoln - Section 1: Searching the Net

When creating groups for this project, I tried to do it by randomly assigning students to groups. I drew popsicle sticks and placed them in groups. If I saw a potential disaster I made the change while I help the popsicle sticks. When I draw I try to get three at a time. I look at the names and if there is not a god fit I just assign a better fit without the class knowing. I then call the student I skipped to the next group and pull three more sticks. This gives the look of random grouping, but still gives me the opportunity to make changes smoothly before they begin.
