Reflection: Student Ownership Perfect Packing - Volume Day 1 - Section 2: Guided Practice

This is the first time that we have taken such extensive notes in Math. These notes have worked really well, and are simple and concrete. This has also provided students with a sense of pride of ownership with the InterActive Notebooks. We have taken extensive, lengthy notes in other subjects though. Personally, I don't think I was providing enough steps behind each process thus far. Grazing over each subject to keep in line with the pacing guide is not the most effective, nor is trying to keep on task with the other teachers in the grade level. That being said, I also don't want to spend a month on one topic either. It's a fine line to determine when to move on, and then provide enrichment/differentiated instruction to students.
