Reflection: High Expectations Full Capacity! - Section 2: Group Work!

 

I noticed that students were really working up to their full potential. Before this portion of the lesson, I explained to students that these were skills we have already covered. I expected them to be able to complete this assignment on their own because they were really great thinkers! Students excepted the expectation set in place. They were working and explaining their way through the problem. This video will explain further.

Objective: 4.NBT.B.4 SWBAT to fluently add and subtract numbers using standard algorithms.

Big Idea: Working to their full capacity students analyzed word problems to practice on standard algorithms in order to become fluent in adding and subtracting numbers.
