## Reflection: Vertical Alignment Discovering Similar Triangles - Section 4: Activity/Homework and Exit Ticket

In today's lesson, we really are bridging two curriculums, Algebra and Geometry together.  Hence, this lesson is a great opportunity to ask students to complete problems involving solving equations with factoring and square/square roots.  Further, I find that students, who may have struggled with these topics in the past, really do need time to review and re-learn these topics.  Moreover, since most students will be taking an Algebra 2 course after Geometry, this review of proportions and factoring will help to keep their skills "fresh" for the next year.

This example, Algebra in Geometry, shows an example of a problem which we worked through today, in class.
