## Reflection: Classroom Setup Kicking Off the Year With Counting - Section 5: Independent Practice

A name plate on their desk is not just to identify their desk.  It can be awesome tool to help your students all year in core subjects; reading and math.  I always pick a nameplate that offers a number line. This number line will assist them when they working on counting, ordering numbers, addition, subtraction, etc. Check the resources and see the different name plates I have found.
