Reflection: Joy Introduction to Island of the Blue Dolphins - Section 2: Teaching Strategy

Scholars had SO MUCH FUN doing this activity!  They really enjoyed debating with one another and working together to figure out how they would survive in a different environment.  They had the opportunity to use prior knowledge to solve problems and be creative.  They realized that different people solve problems differently, and that is ok.  It was a great way to engage, hook and give scholars practice with some key vocabulary.

  Super fun!
