Reflection: Discourse and Questioning Wanted! One Big Bad .... (Lesson 4 of 4) - Section 4: Students Take a Turn

We have worked for four days with drawing, imaging and writing words. There are many words on the kids' work and sentences that describe the beginning, middle and end. I assumed that the students were able to compare images and use the resources. However, when this student asked for spelling help, it reminds me that perhaps we should have read over the words and reviewed each image before starting our comparison. I also want to 'push back' to the students and remind them to use the resources that we have for spelling. Students at this level need to take some responsibility for their learning.
