## Reflection: Discourse and Questioning Proving Identities - Section 2: Proving Identities

The video has a student that loves to teach class. I decided to include the entire clip including when he notices the camera. If you notice the students are very quiet at first. Once he notices the camera, the students decide to be more involved.

In this case, a student says there should be some equal signs put in the problem. The student at the board joked, "No, they are not needed." Another student says I am confused without the equal signs.

After the clip we review how organizing our work is important for understanding. After class the young man came to me and stated that he would have been neater if he had known that I was taping. My response was I wanted the real work not what you think I want. It is important to always be organized when you go to the board.
