Reflection: Adjustments to Practice Terrific Triangles - Section 2: Guided Practice

I have my students mark up the sides of the triangles because I know that my students may get confused and frustrated if they see plane figures in the future with these lines. My students seem to become unfamiliar with very small details sometimes, and then they simply shut down and guess at the answer to problems. In marking up the sides now, students can get in the habit of seeing this already. This worked really well. The students asked why we were drawing lines on the sides, because they hadn't seen it yet.
