Reflection: Rigor The Ways to Freedom Part II - Section 1: Mini-Lesson


In this lesson, my goal was for students to  develop their conceptual understanding of the Underground Railroad.  I asked them to use information from a website to craft their answers.  I wanted them to write accurate information using a main idea sentence and two supporting details.   This lesson is also a summarizing task.  this lesson addresses the following standards: RI 5.1 (quoting accurately), RI 5.2 (summarizing the text) and RI 5.7 (using a digital source to gather information.
