Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding Use The TI-Nspire CX To Solve a System of Equations - Section 1: Solve one linear equation with one variable

It is important to learn to solve a linear equation in one variable or a system of equations in two variables using technology. In my class, I pursue this goal only after extended practice with solving problems by hand. I want to make sure that my students understand the use of inverse operations in solving equations. I also teach my students to solve systems by graphing, by substitution, and by linear combination before introducing computational approaches.
