Reflection: Adjustments to Practice Mark Twain WebQuest - Section 2: Getting Down to Business

The actual time it takes students to complete this assignment is about 30 minutes.  However, I have found that once we get in the computer lab it takes students f-o-r-e-v-e-r to get logged in.  Some have forgotten passwords; others can't open the document; still more have trouble navigating the Internet.  Who knew this would be a problem in this day and age?!

If you have a tech-savy group of students, you have a couple of options:

  • Students can compare their predictions about Tom Sawyer
  • Students can create a research question of their own and try to find the answer.
  • Students can work on their Independent Reading assignment.
