Reflection: High Expectations Conferring: One-to-One - Section 1: My Lens


I meet with a student after school to help him in a one-to-one writing conference.  My purpose was to guide the student through an exercise to build his self-esteem, lower resistance to writing assignments,  while reframing  our relationship in a positive light.  My intention was for the student to walk out of the conference with a sense of success and positive feelings toward me and to the writing process.
