Reflection: Writing Across the Disciplines Five Little Penguins - Section 1: Warm Up

Today's lesson went pretty well.  They loved the topic and did very well with this assignment.  I am finding that my quiet, shy ELL students are all wanting me to take a "movie" of them.  It is sometimes hard to hear them speak, but they are progressing in their ELA skills.  Using a topic that is familiar to them makes the writing assignment easier.  My students are more willing to write when the topic is fun.
