Reflection: Student Ownership College Application Essays - Section 2: College Application Essays

I always tell my students that it is important for them to know how to write about themselves because it is something they need for college and career readiness. Often, when applying for college, graduate school, or a job, they will have to sell themselves and show their value to an organization.

Even though this assignment is part of Emergency Lesson Plans, it provides students with practice in writing about themselves and in producing a substantive, well-organized piece of writing on demand.
