Reflection: Checks for Understanding Errors in Reasoning: Faulty Logic - Section 3: The Results

As I listened to students presenting orally (False Causality presentation 1) and viewed their visual displays (False Causality student sample), I noticed that students understand the concept only superficially.  This is probably because students do not have the prior experiences that adults have in critiquing information.  Categorizing the faulty logic into types was also difficult for most students.  This activity can only be accomplished as a team effort for this age group because a collective set of prior experiences is better than one.  However, I thought their presentations communicated basic knowledge of faulty logic False Causality presentation 2.
