Reflection: Lesson Planning Character Traits: Choose your words wisely - Section 2: Mini-Lesson

Part of the students’ job with this task is to use a dictionary to find the definition of the Character Trait they chose. Many students in third grade have not had a lot of practice with using dictionaries, especially with the latest technological tools. We have done some work with dictionaries this year for word study so my students feel pretty comfortable with it. If your students have not had much practice with dictionary use, you may want to do a lesson or two prior to this Reader’s Workshop lesson.
