Reflection: Intervention and Extension Shape Turkey - Section 3: Independent Practice


Several of my students referred to the pentagon as a hexagon. This also occurs in the student video I have included. After I was done filming this student, I did go back and point out that this shape was a pentagon to him. However, I did not stop him in the middle of his explanation. I felt it wasn't necessary, as this was a brand new shape, and he was doing such a great job orally discussing the process he had followed.
