Reflection: Intervention and Extension Volume - Building and Measuring - Section 1: Introduction

I started using what I call the 5MM strategy in my classroom this year after being required to read the book Accessible Mathematics: 10 Instructional Shifts That Raise Student Achievement by Steven Leinwand.  I've taken what the author wrote about and made changes.  Leinwand used the 5 Minute Math as a quick 4 question review test students take every day to assess their retention.

I recommend the book  to add to your library - it is short and has great information for creating a classroom with depth and complex thinking.
