Reflection: Routines and Procedures It's Summer! - Section 2: Interact with text/concept


Today I stopped at the first detail in the reading and added that with the kids.  After that, I challenged them to listen and add the details.  I told them to raise their hand as soon as they heard a detail we could add to our note taking booklet.  If I read a detail and no hands went up, I stopped, went back and reread until they caught it.
