Reflection: High Quality Task The Multiplication and Division Connection - Section 3: Independent Practice

I allow my students to do a lot of group work and presentations. I see a stronger understanding of the concepts when they can explain themselves and the meaning of their problem (MP1), create models to match the math they are working with and can communicate their reasoning and work collaboratively with a partner (MP6).

By explaining their work and answering questions about it, they demonstrate their true understanding of what was done.
