Reflection: Discourse and Questioning 'Tape It' As You Answer Questions & Connect Ideas (Lesson 2 of 2) - Section 4: Students Take a Turn


This student was having difficulty with a concept of a compass. When she looked more closely at the book and the illustrations, she made a great connection. She inferred that the compass in the book was a compass in her mom's car. It was not entirely correct - she was probably referring to other gauges in mom's car, although some cars do have compasses. I was pleased that there was a connection made to a new concept.
