Reflection: Standardized Tests (PARCC/Smarter Balanced) Hero or Not? Using Multiple Print Sources to Make an Argument - Section 2: Writing Task

I definitely need to start using more of the resources put out by the Smarter Balanced Consortium. The writing rubrics have been really helpful in preparing my students for the writing components of common core and these standardized assessments. I still have to use my district 6 traits writing rubric for grade level summative writings, but the Smarter Balanced rubrics are pretty closely aligned with the 6 traits, so I've been using them for formative pieces. My students have told me that they can understand the wording pretty well also, which means a lot to me.
