Students required little assistance during this assignment. I think it went so well because they were well-prepared. I had spent a great of time teaching them alphabetical order when I taught dictionary skills. As a result, they were pretty efficient with finding the words. The true test of proficiency is whether or not they remember they can use a glossary, instead of a dictionary, when looking up domain-specific words they encounter in the text.
