Reflection: Student Ownership Prepositions - Section 4: "Pledge of Allegiance"

After identifying the prepositional phrases in the “Pledge of Allegiance,” it was an opportunity for students to reflect on the meaning of the pledge that they automatically say each morning without giving true thought to the meaning.  Their discussion displayed a deeper understanding of this routine activity.  I have notice in my first period, numerous students seem to recite the “Pledge of Allegiance” with more conviction that they have in the past.
