Reflection: Intrinsic Motivation Arresting Philippe Petit- Right or Wrong??? - Section 2: Should He or Shouldn't He?

 

Why do students always like the video better?  Is it the change in technology?  Should I even expect students to choose a book over a movie?  Every time I hear that another movie is being made from a book, I read the book to my class in hopes that they will like the movie better but it never works and this video was no exception!!  Except for a few students, they all liked the video better.  I wish I could figure out how to instill the love of a book in all of my students- but I will keep trudging ahead looking for books to inspire them and hopefully- one day- they will all find a book to fall in love with that IS better than the movie!!
