Reflection: Checks for Understanding Polygons - Section 4: Closure

Assessing the students understanding of vocabulary is important.  Learning vocabulary makes the students better communicators, as well as, knowledgeable in discussing a topic.  From this lesson, I know that the students will need further review to master terminology.  This is important because in order for the students to move to higher-order skills, they must understand what is being asked of them.  If they do not understand the difference between a "point" and "vertex", then they will have a difficult time "comparing" the attributes of a quadrilateral to a pentagon.
