After student share outs of from the activating, it was clear that they had this concept down. I moved more quickly through the instruction of this concept because of this. Next year, I may be able to use my activating and move right into my guided practice or combine two structures to hit the actual 5th grade common core standard of comparing two different structures based on the same topic.
