Reflection: Modeling Line Segments, Rays, & Angles - Section 4: Closure

 

I felt that by having the students draw models of the figures was a good way for the students to learn to identify the attributes of the different angles.  Modeling gave the students a visual of what it looks like so that they will be able to identify these attributes in future related lessons.  Also, using their own body to model was a good way to get the students up and interested in the lesson.

Objective: SWBAT will learn terms to identify lines and angles.

Big Idea: Lines and angles can be described with special names. A line segment has 2 end points. Angles can be acute, obtuse, right, or straight.
