Reflection: Joy A Walk in the Woods: Understanding Transcendentalism - Section 1: Introduction & Welcome: It's Name Your PC Day!

While not deliberately planned to connect to Emerson, "Name Your PC Day" gave students a chance to look at the overall concept of Identity, as well as the ideas of "Nature" that nature reflects the mood of its viewer. This gave my students a greater conceptual understanding of Emerson's ideas than I could have by simply presenting them in lecture, and engaged the students to talk about their technology--something they always enjoy.
