Reflection: Data Analysis Proper Nouns - Section 3: Assessment

As I was grading student work, I found that the rubric I had created did not allow for full assessment of student work. For example, there were some definitive patterns in errors. Most students correctly capitalized names and months, things they have been told to capitalize since Kindergarten and first grade. However, the most common errors were names of places and the second part of street names, i.e. Rosedale lane. This let me know I needed to reteach those elements of proper nouns and allot more time for mastery.
