Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding Constructed Response Assessment on Weather and Climate - Section 3: Culminating Writing Activity


Through this unit, students develop a conceptual understanding of the difference between weather and climate, causes and effects of weather and climate, and the dos and don'ts to adequately prepare for various types of weather and climate.  I use a culminating writing assessment because it provides students an independent opportunity to reflect upon and demonstrate what they learned in the unit.  I find it to be a great check for understanding.
