Reflection: Intervention and Extension From Ramps to Riches - Section 2: “Ramps to Riches”


I’ve used this guided reading format for numerous texts.  It enables students to read at their own pace and demonstrate their understanding of the text while allowing them to feel successful.   Although I started out using it with my struggling readers, I have found that it is beneficial to all levels of students while providing them with intentional reading strategies that they need to practice.  Often my Honors students quickly read passages; this activity promotes close reading
