Reflection: Continuous Assessment Practice Summarizing With More Short Stories - Section 3: Teacher's Turn

 

I realized, as I began looking at the main idea, that the students were struggling with this information. We have been talking about this topic, but not specifically these ideas. In this video, I could see that the information was too new.

 

I think the students were struggling because the information was novel, as was the strategy. I need to rethink this lesson and use ideas that the students are comfortable with when I introduce a new strategy.
