## Reflection: Modeling Dividing 2-Digit by 1-Digit Numbers - Section 4: Closure

Using place value blocks for this lesson was very helpful to the students.  It gave the students a conceptual understanding of division.  I decided to use the standard algorithm along with the place value blocks.  Each time the students divided the blocks into groups, they wrote the number on their paper using the algorithm.  By doing this, they understood the value of each of those numbers.
