Reflection: High Quality Task Classifying Polygons - Section 2: Practice


Although the Venn diagram classification was difficult for some students, other students excelled at it.  An easy extension activity for this lesson could be to have students use a three circle Venn diagram.  This type of Venn diagram is much more complex in terms of determining placement for the polygons.  Students would need to have a solid understanding of attributes in order to correctly place the polygons within the three circle Venn diagram.
