## Reflection: Modeling Dividing with Remainders - Section 4: Closure

Using manipulatives help give the students a visual of the concept.  In this particular lesson, the students were able to use shapes to separate into different groups.  By doing this, the students could understand what division meant.  They divided the pieces one by one until there were an even number of pieces in each group.  The pieces left were the remainder.
