## Reflection: Discourse and Questioning Adding and Subtracting Fractions - Section 3: Checking for Understanding/Probing

In this video response a student explains how and why she solved her problem. Checking for understanding throughout the entire lesson allows me to make accommodations for students who need re-teaching, and to create extensions for students who are grasping the concept of adding and subtracting fractions. Although, at this point her response is a bit vague. I will work on demonstrating how to respond mathematically when explaining answers.
